ACAVA provides studios in a wide variety of buildings, many converted from industrial factory premises, others from offices and shops, a school, a vicarage, a laundry and potting sheds. It has also built some of the few purpose designed studios developed in recent years.

Ardleigh Studios
Former industrial premises in the village of Ardleigh near Colchester, converted by Mother Studios in 2015 to provide 34 workspaces. Acquired by ACAVA in December 2017.
East Gate Studios
Just round the corner from the original Gatehouse Arts premises, East Gate provides a second street front gallery and a further 10 studios.
Hadleigh Old Fire Station
A former fire station converted to provide studios, community offices and a large exhibition and events space. It was also the base for the mountain biking event of the 2012 Olympic Games.
