Young Artists enables children and young people to work and co-create alongside an inspirational contemporary artist over the summer holidays, exploring what art is and can be.
This summer holiday, the Young Artists will be introduced to a range of traditional and non-traditional materials to explore creativity. Using sound, sculpture, photography, and drawing, the Young Artists will participate in playful and collaborative sessions that will encourage growth and confidence in sharing ideas.
This programme is aimed at young people aged 12-15, who live and study in North Kensington and the surrounding areas.
This year’s programme will be led by Jack Rooney, a multidisciplinary artist interested in the connections between people and places and our Studio 13 Resident.
The Studio 13 Residency is a career development opportunity for artists from minority backgrounds who have communities embedded in their practice.
