Bradley Sweeting, one of three winners of this year’s ACAVA Hosts: Three Counties Open Residency has begun his residency at ACAVA Spode Works Studios.
Bradley Sweeting is an emerging abstract figurative artist from Chesterton, Staffordshire, who explores social commentary, people, death, animals and religion through a childlike lens.
The residency runs from 6 November to 6 December, which will culminate in an exhibition of his recent work.
In partnership with Keele University and this year’s Three Counties Open Art Exhibition, the three winning artists will each benefit from a one-month-long residency at our studios in Stoke-on-Trent .
ACAVA Hosts: Three Counties Open Residency is a career development opportunity that supports artists with the use of a studio for four weeks each to explore, expand, and develop their practice within a thriving community of established artists and creatives at ACAVA Spode Works Studios. The residencies offer professional development opportunities in the form of public engagement, and co-creation of public-facing outcomes such as artist talks, exhibitions, group crits and artist workshops.
