ACAVA has developed and delivered innovative educational and community projects since the 1970s. In 1984 it was registered as an educational charity to enable artists to engage their creativity and skills for the benefit of people of all ages, and within the statutory system, community groups and those drawn together at ACAVA studios.
Projects aim to promote individual expression and the recogition of and respect for cultural diversity, to develop visual skills in relation to curricula and beyond, and to provide work experience.
Today at the St Charles Centre for Health and Wellbeing you can see the new permanent art work created by local people in collaboration with professional artists.
